It saddens us to inform you of the loss
of a dear PAS-S student who has enjoyed classes with many of you over the
years.

Phyllis
Ann (Gross) Mainzer, 82, died Sept. 28, in Murrells
Inlet, S.C.
Born
May 25, 1927 in Salem, Ohio, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Gray)
Gross.
Phyllis
is a graduate of Salem High School and Salem City Hospital School of Nursing.
She also attended Miami University in Athens, Ohio, where she met and married LaMonte (Monte) Mainzer. They
resided in Denville for 26 years before retiring to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1991.
Phyllis
worked at Hostess House and Jeanette's, volunteered at
St. Clare's in Denville, served on the Architectural Review Board in Soccastee, and was a proud member of The Grand Strand
Porcelain Art Club, where she served in many capacities.
Phyllis
will be remembered not only for her incredible artistic talents, but for her generosity and love to those whose lives she
touched.
She was predeceased by her husband Monte in 1999; son Scott in
1990; a sister Beverly; and brothers, William, Richard, and Galen.
Phyllis is survived by a son, David Mainzer,
of Myrtle Beach; her daughter Susan Gallagher, her husband David; her most loved granddaughters, Gwendolyn and
Clarissa, all of Denville; two brothers Herbert and Gerald Gross, and many
nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were conducted by McMillan Small. Burial took place in Salem, Ohio.
